Strong winds could hit Kent on Saturday

Southerly winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 mph could strike Saturday, Dec. 29, in Kent as well as the Seattle, Tacoma, Bremerton and Ocean Shores areas.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Winds may snap weak branches that have not been pruned by recent storms, produce isolated power outages and make the driving of high-profile vehicles difficult.

The Weather Service issued the warning Friday afternoon.
