The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reached a settlement with Pacific Propeller International of Kent to pay a penalty of $66,300 for violations of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-To-Know Act (EPCRA).

EPA Region 10 settled on May 28 with Pacific Propeller International, LLC for failing to report storage of a hazardous chemical at their facility in Kent, according to a Sept. 10 EPA news release. EPCRA 312 annual Tier II reporting supports emergency planning efforts at the state and local levels and provides the public and local governments with information concerning potential chemical hazards present in their communities.

Pacific Propeller International provides customers with propeller repair and overhaul at its 64,000-square-foot facility, 5802 S. 228th St., in the Kent Valley.
