Fireworks ignite fire that destroys Kent market on East Hill

The illegal discharge of fireworks caused a fire that destroyed the KK Market on Kent’s East Hill.

The fire broke out early Tuesday morning, Aug. 24 at the store, 23805 104th Ave. SE. The fireworks ignited combustible material on the exterior of the building, according to Puget Sound Fire.

Puget Sound Fire and Renton Regional Fire Authority responded to the two-alarm fire at the commercial building.
