X League women’s football playoffs set for Aug. 27 in Kent

The Kent-based Seattle Thunder will play the Chicago Blitz in the X League playoffs for seven-on-seven women’s tackle football.

Kickoff is at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at the accesso ShoWare Center. The Thunder game will be followed by another playoff showdown at 6 p.m. between the Atlanta Empire and the Austin Sound. Doors open at 2 p.m.

Tickets, which are good for both games, are $66 for field level; $46 for lower sideline; $36 for sideline; $26 for lower end zone; and $16 for upper end zone. Buy tickets at accessoshowarecenter.com.

Atlanta is seeded No. 1 followed by Chicago, Seattle and Austin.

The winners will advance to the championship game Sept. 10 at the H-E-B Center in Austin, Texas.

The Blitz beat Seattle 34-28 on Aug. 6 in Illinois. Seattle crushed the Denver Rush 84-26 in its only other game June 25.
