Conks edge Chargers, earn district’s No. 2 seed to state | Prep soccer

Chris Goebel scored two goals to lead Kentwood past Kentridge 2-1 in the West Central District boys soccer tournament at Tahoma High School on Saturday.

The Conquerors secured the district’s No. 2 seed to the state Class 4A playoffs. Kentwood plays Wenatchee in the first round of 16 teams this week. Kickoff is 7 p.m. Wednesday at French Field.

The Chargers, the No. 5 seed to state, opens at Tahoma on Wednesday. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
