Chamber to host Kent City Council candidates

The Kent Chamber of Commerce will host a Speed Candidating and Networking Event to meet with Kent City Council candidates.

The event is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St. Tickets are $10 for Chamber members and $20 for nonmembers. A social hour will run from 5-6 p.m.

The 13 candidates for four council positions are scheduled to attend the event. Thirteen tables will be set up with a candidate and nine seats for participants at each table. Candidates will then rotate tables to answer questions from the participants.
