State Patrol trooper suffers minor injuries in South 277th Street collision

A Washington State Patrol trooper suffered minor injuries when a vehicle driven by a Kent man collided with the State Patrol car at about 8:25 p.m. Dec. 24.
The 49-year-old Kent man allegedly ran a stop light while eastbound on South 277th Street and collided with the 37-year-old female trooper’s car at the intersection as she exited northbound Highway 167 to South 277th Street, according to a State Patrol media release.
Paramedics transported the trooper to Valley Medical Center with minor injuries. The Kent man was not injured. He was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Aveo. The trooper drove a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria.
Drugs or alcohol were not involved in the accident. Any charges in connection with the accident are pending.
