Woman killed in Kent hit-and-run

A 46-year-old Renton woman was hit and killed Tuesday morning in Kent by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene.
The pedestrian was crossing at the 84th Avenue South crosswalk at the northbound state Route 167 on-ramp, according to Washington State Patrol.
The ramp was closed for an extended period of time Tuesday morning.
Trooper Rick Johnson tweeted that the vehicle involved did not stop and said the incident will be investigated as a felony hit-and-run fatality.
The ramp reopened around 8:30 a.m.

Multiple hit-and-runs have occurred in the last week in the area, including two incidents in Renton, with a woman walking her dog Dec. 4, and a 12-year-old boy walking home from school Dec. 12.
