John L. Scott Real Estate’s Kent and Renton offices will transition from franchise operations to company-owned offices.

The official transition is underway and was announced to their approximately 300 broker associates and support staff on March 21. The offices began as Kamas Realty, founded by owners Sol Avzaradel and Kolin Taylor in 1977. Both offices became John L. Scott franchises in 1992.

The long-term leadership team, led by Avzaradel, Jim Willner, Albie Moshcatel and Shy Bundy will remain with their offices, providing ongoing support well into the future. The offices are two of the top producing real estate offices in the Northwest MLS, adding approximately $1.5 billion in sales volume to the John L Scott company-owned brand throughout King and Pierce county.

The addition of the two offices will bring the John L. Scott company-owned network to a total of 36 offices in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
