Two lanes of northbound Pacific Highway South (State Route 99) will be closed in Kent for light rail construction on the nights of Aug. 17-21 and again on Aug. 24-28.
The closures will be between South 240th Street and Kent Des Moines Road, according to Sound Transit. The closures will be from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
Crews working on the Federal Way Link Extension will close the lanes for underground utility work. All project construction work is done under stringent COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.
The Federal Way Link Extension will open for service in 2024 between SeaTac and Federal Way. For more information on the Federal Way Link Extension and to sign up for project updates, visit soundtransit.org/fwlink.
