JORDAN ROBERTS, Kent-Meridian

Grade: Senior.

Sport: Soccer.

Accomplishment: Roberts deposited an unassisted goal, helping the Royals work a 1-1 tie with Kentwood last week. It was Roberts third goal of the season.

Favorite class: Physics.

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my soccer team, and I would serve King’s Teriyaki.

What is your greatest athletic moment: Scoring my first goal this season.

Most recent book read/author: Eragon Trilogy by Christopher Padini.

What’s on your iPod?: “Tie Me Down” by New Boyz.

KYANA ESBER, Kentridge

Grade: Freshman.

Sport: Tennis.

Accomplishment: Esber, one of the SPSL North’s up-and-coming players, worked a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Thomas Jefferson’s Sandina Antoine during their No. 1 singles match last week.

Favorite class: Spanish.

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Taylor Lautner and serve him macaroni and cheese with lumpia and a diet Coke.

What is your greatest athletic moment: Making the varsity tennis team as a freshman.

Most recent book read/author: “A Tale of Two Cities” by Charles Dickens.

What’s on your iPod?: “Do You Remember” by Jay Sean.

Also noted: Esber, who sports a 3.85 grade-point average, also plays soccer.

NICOLE BARGER, Kentridge

Grade: Senior.

Sport: Fastpitch.

Accomplishment: Barger enjoyed a perfect day at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored, two RBIs and a triple in a 14-4 win over Auburn.

Favorite class: Mr. Mitchell’s class – simply amazing! If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Reggie Bush (of the New Orleans Saints) and my brother Robert (would) insist on coming. I would serve Olive Garden salad with chicken and Gatorade.

What is your greatest athletic moment: Having the game-winning double against Tahoma my sophomore year.

Most recent book read/author: “Fences” by August Wilson.

What’s on your iPod?: “Steady Mobbin’” by Young Money.

Also noted: In the fall, Barger will be attending Western Washington University, where she will major in sociology.

JAKE ROSS, Kentlake

Grade: Junior.

Sport: Baseball.

Accomplishment: Ross went 3-for-4 with three runs scored, three RBIs and a home run, leading Kentlake past Kent-Meridian 16-0.

Favorite class: Oceanography.

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (former Seattle Mariner designated hitter) Edgar Martinez and I would serve steak.

Favorite movie: Gone in 60 seconds.

What’s on your iPod?: “One Step Closer.”

Also noted: Ross owns a 1966 Mustang.

BRYANT VANENGELENBURG, Kentwood

Grade: Senior.

Sport: Baseball.

Accomplishment: anEngelenburg, who led the SPSL in hitting last season, continued to swing a hot stick last week against Auburn, going 2-for-2 with a solo home run in a 10-4 victory.
