Kent residents, families and children are invited to view the moon, planets and stars during a fall night sky party Saturday at the Green River Natural Resource Area, 22209 Russell Road.
The star party is from 8 to 11 p.m. It is free to stargazers.
Telescopes and assistance will be provided by volunteer astronomers from the Seattle Astronomical Society and Boeing Employees Astronomical Society.
Dress warmly, bring a dim, red light and a copy of the October “Skymaps” printed from the astronomy website.
The event may be cancelled by thick clouds or persistent rain. Cancellation will be posted at the seattleastro.org website
