Earth, Wind & Fire bring smooth sounds to the State Fair on Sept. 22

Earth, Wind & Fire brings its world renowned R&B hits to the Washington State Fair on Friday, Sept. 22.

Earth, Wind & Fire is America’s seventh top-selling musical group of all-time. With a signature sound, the band’s legendary journey has set the standard for music across all genres.

One of the most important, innovative and commercially invincible contemporary forces of the 20th century, Earth, Wind & Fire has released a total of 23 albums. They have recorded eight No. 1 R&B singles and eight double-platinum top 10 pop albums. The band has earned more than 50 gold and platinum albums and sold 90 million albums worldwide, earning them a solid spot on the list of all-time best selling music artists.

Earth, Wind & Fire have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (2000) and The National Academy of Recording Art & Science (NARAS) bestowed its highest honor, The Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016, totaling nine Grammy Awards for the group. The ensemble has also earned Lifetime Achievement honors from ASCAP, NAACP and the BET Awards.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15. Visit thefair.com and join our free E-Club for access to the best seats and ticket offers. E-Club members get the opportunity to buy tickets to all shows in the Columbia Bank Concert Series lineup, before the general public.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday, March 18 at 10 a.m. Tickets are $80, $70 and $45 and include fair gate admission. Tickets will be available on the fair website or by phone at 888-559-FAIR (3247) daily, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the state fair’s box office at 9th Avenue Southwest and Meridian Street on Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Online and phone purchases are subject to standard processing fees. Tickets purchased on site will be charged a $2 per ticket service fee.

Concert ticket holders who want to start the party early, can purchase tickets to the pre-show party, hosted by KJAQ. Join fellow fans in the VIP tent just inside the Gold Gate for fun, food and prizes before Rhett takes the stage. Tickets are $40 each and do not include concert tickets.
