Kent’s McCullum named IFL offensive player of the week

The professional Indoor Football League named Kent Predators quarterback Charles McCullum on Wednesday as the league's offensive player of the week.

The professional Indoor Football League named Kent Predators quarterback Charles McCullum on Wednesday as the league’s offensive player of the week.

McCullum threw four touchdown passes and ran for three scores to help Kent beat the Tri-Cities Fever 55-49 on March 27 for the first win for the new franchise.

McCullum completed 10 of 13 passes for 164 yards and rushed 30 times for 124 yards. The 124-yard mark is the highest rushing total so far this season in an IFL game.

McCullum, who played at Stillman College in Alabama, leads the league with 18 touchdown passes and 338 yards rushing in four games.

The Predators, who have a 1-3 record, next game is at 7:30 p.m. April 9 against the Alaska Wild at the ShoWare Center.
