The Friends of KM, a group of Kent-Meridian alumni who raise money for scholarships specifically for K-M students, has asked Bob Owren, a retired KM Choir teacher to orchestrate an alumni choir event at K-M.

The school is looking for K-M grads who were involved in choir. This does not just have to be during the time when Owren was a teacher at the school. All former choir students of any era are invited to join.

An evening of music and dinner are being planned. Owren is selecting the music and will send it to interested parties via e-mail.

Participants can practice on their own until April 16 when a full rehearsal is scheduled in the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center.

The event is scheduled for April 17. The dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. with the choir performance scheduled for 7 p.m. tickets for one or both will be available, though the price is yet to be determined.

For more information, contact Owren at bob.owren@kent.k12.wa.us.
