The Kent-based Seattle Mist of the women’s Lingerie Football League postponed player tryouts that were scheduled for May 16 at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila.

The Mist announced the postponement May 10 on their Twitter account and on the Web site www.myseattlemist.com.

No reason was given for the postponement. The team’s tweet said it plans to line up a new date and site for the tryout.

The Mist played their first season of the LFL last year at the ShoWare Center in Kent. They open the 2010 season at home Aug. 27 against the Los Angeles Temptation. Their only other home game is Oct. 8 against the Chicago Bliss.

The 10-team league features scantily clad women playing seven-on-seven tackle football on a 50-yard field.
