The Rainier Youth Choirs will explore music from many continents and cultures during its Saturday, May 21 concert.

“One Earth, Many Voices” begins at 2 p.m. at Kent United Methodist Church, 11010 S.E. 248th St., in Kent.

Doors open at 1:45 p.m. and advanced ticket purchase is recommended. Tickets are $12 and $10 purchased in advance or $15 and $12 at the door.

Rainier Youth Choirs is a nonprofit community organization that offers premier vocal and choral training for young singers. The concert showcases RYC’s three auditioned groups, Bella Voce, Colla Voce and Consonare, with singers spanning grades four through college.

Members come from Covington, Kent, Maple Valley, Auburn, Federal Way, Enumclaw, Issaquah and Renton to practice at Cedar Heights Middle School in Covington.

Auditions by appointment for the 2011-12 season are being scheduled for youth who enjoy singing and will be in grades four through college next fall.
