Star ballroom dancers to perform at Kent Senior Center

Seattle child ballroom dancers Erik Linder and Rickie Taylor will perform Sept. 17 at the Kent Senior Activity Center, 600 E. Smith St., to help raise funds for the center’s lunch program.

Linder, 10, and Taylor, 9, finished in the top 20 in 2009 on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” They have won national competitions and appeared on The Oprah Show.

A Dessert for Donations is scheduled before, between and after the dance shows. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:15 p.m. show followed by a second show at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for adults ages 55 and older, high school and middle school students and $10 for elementary students who bring their own pillows for selected floor seating.

Tickets go on sale Aug. 30. For tickets, go to the Kent Senior Center or call 253-856-5150 weekdays.
