The city of Kent’s Summer Nights and the Silver Screen wraps up outdoor movie night with a free showing of “Grease” at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 at Town Square Plaza, Second Avenue and Harrison Street.

“Grease” is the original high school musical. Good girl Sandy and greaser Danny fell in love over the summer. But when they unexpectedly discover they’re now in the same high school, will they be able to rekindle their romance?

Movier goers must bring their own chairs to set up at the plaza. No seats will be provided. There is a small grass area where people can spread blankets. The movies go on rain or shine.

An inflatable screen will be placed in the northwest corner of the park and face toward the fountains.

Kent Summer Concerts are presented by Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services and the Kent Arts Commission, with the support of local sponsors.
