PTA sponsors forum Tuesday

The Kent Area PTA Council is hosting a forum Dec. 9 to discuss basic education funding in Washington State.

The forum will feature state Rep. Pat Sullivan, D-Covington. He is a member of the Washington Joint Task Force on Basic Education Funding, and will share the task force’s recommendations for funding.

The task force has been studying education-funding problems for more than a year and its report is due later this month.

The forum runs from 7-8:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Kent School District Administration Center Boardroom, 12033 S.E. 256th St. and is sponsored by the Kent Area PTA Council and Kent School Board Members.
