Crews to close ramp from eastbound SR 518 to northbound I-5 in Tukwila tonight

TUKWILA – Drivers traveling from eastbound SR 518 to northbound I-5 in Tukwila tonight should expect short delays or take an alternate route. From 10 p.m. tonight to 5 a.m. Wednesday morning, crews will close the ramp from eastbound SR 518 to northbound I-5. During the closure drivers should look for and follow detour signs using northbound I-405, northbound SR 181, and southbound I-405.

This closure will provide a safe work zone for crews to set barrier for seismic bridge work on I-5. The work was originally scheduled for last week but was postponed due to heavy fog.

This work is part of the I-5 Central King to South Snohomish Bridge Retrofit project, which will improve 19 bridges from Tukwila to Lynnwood. This month, crews are working on I-5 bridges at Interurban Avenue in Tukwila and at SR 104 in Mountlake Terrace.
