Federal Way man fatally shot in Kent

At bus stop along Pacific Highway South near Kent Des Moines Road

A 39-year-old Federal Way man was fatally shot Friday afternoon, Nov. 26 in Kent at a bus stop in the 23300 block of Pacific Highway South.

Officers responded at about 3:40 p.m. to reports of a man being shot and found an unresponsive man laying in the roadway near Kent Des Moines Road with a gunshot wound, according to a Kent Police news release. The first officers on the scene administered life-saving efforts until medics took over, but the man died at the scene.

The suspect reportedly fled after the shooting. Police said there is limited suspect information. Based on information from witnesses, it appears the incident is specific to those involved, according to police.

Kent Police are asking for anyone with information about the shooting or who may have witnessed it to call 911, the Kent Police tip line at 253-856-5808 or email KPDTtipline@kentwa.gov and reference case number 21-14522.
