Des Moines man, 23, dies Friday morning after his vehicle strikes a tree

A 23 year-old Des Moines man died early Friday morning when his car left the roadway and struck a tree in the White Center area. He died shortly after he was taken to Harborview Medical Center, according to a press release from the King County Sheriff.

King County to consolidate animal services at Kent shelter

King County officials will close the Crossroads animal shelter in Bellevue June 12 to the public and move the animals to the county's Kent shelter. The closure is part of the county's new regional animal control and sheltering plan that 27 cities, including Kent, have signed up to join starting July 1.

Auburn Police continue to search for leads in homicide of Kent city employee Seth Frankel

Auburn Police continue to interview friends, colleagues and relatives of Seth Frankel as well as search through physical evidence in an effort to find out who might have killed the Kent city employee. Frankel, 41, a video program coordinator for the city, was found dead May 22 lying on the floor of his Auburn home in the 100 block of D Street Northwest.
