Russell Road to close in Kent near South 240th

Drivers who use Russell Road near South 240th Street in Kent will need to use alternate routes from Monday, Dec. 2 through Friday, Dec. 13.

Russell Road will close between the north entrance of Hogan Park to South 240th Street for water main work, according to the city Public Works Department. The closure will run from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. most days with some 24/7 closures. Access to Hogan Park will remain open.

Drivers can detour around the closure via West Meeker Street to 64th Avenue South to South 240th Street.

The work is scheduled to be done in time for the city of Kent’s annual Christmas Rush run and walk on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Hogan Park at Russell Road, 24400 Russell Road.
