Seattle Cancer Care Alliance’s Mammovan to make stops in Kent

Two dates in March and April at Kent/Des Moines UW Clinic

The mobile Mammovan from Seattle Cancer Care Alliance will make stops in Kent on Monday, March 21 and Tuesday, March 29 as well as Tuesday, April 19 and and Saturday, April 30.

The Mammovan will be at the Kent/Des Moines UW Clinic, 23213 Pacific Highway S. Patients must book appointments for a mammogram in advance by calling 206-606-7800.

Mammovan provides life-saving breast cancer screenings to women in the Seattle area, breaking down barriers of access and bringing their services to women in need.

According to the CDC, having regularly scheduled mammograms can lower the risk of dying from breast cancer. Earlier diagnoses mean more treatment options and better outcomes.

Seattle Cancer Care Alliance’s medical experts want to use this opportunity to educate women about breast cancer, breast cancer risk and current screening recommendations. Most importantly the experts want to highlight how women can have easier access to life-saving screenings with the mobile Mammovan program.
