U.S. Marshals arrest woman in Kent in connection with Belltown robbery in Seattle

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Apprehension Task Force arrested a woman in Kent for investigation of robbery in connection with a Belltown ATM case in Seattle.

The 29-year-old woman was arrested Aug. 24 in Kent, interviewed by Seattle Police detectives and booked into the King County jail for investigation of robbery, according to the Seattle Police website.

A bail hearing was held Aug. 25 for the woman. The court set bail at $500,000, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors must file charges by Aug. 29.

A man was stabbed in the back and his money taken after withdrawing cash in the early morning hours July 30 in the Belltown area of downtown Seattle. He suffered life-threatening injuries.

Detectives obtained surveillance video from the ATM and distributed it to local media. A tip was received following the airing of these images, identifying a possible female suspect.

The man confirmed that he spoke to the woman in the video right before he was attacked.
