Young adult woman killed at Federal Way apartment complex

Police investigating Feb. 13 case as a homicide

A young adult woman at the Pavilion Apartment Homes in Federal Way was the victim of a homicide on Feb. 13, according to police.

Federal Way Police Department Cmdr. Thaddeus Hodge said at about 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, immediately after the incident, South King Fire and police officers were dispatched to the apartment complex at 1900 SW Campus Drive for an unresponsive female. Police did not release the age of the female.

The investigation is still pending, so not all the details could be shared, but the incident is being investigated as a homicide, Hodge said. Hodge said he could not share whether it occurred within or outside an apartment.

“Despite lifesaving efforts by paramedics, the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene,” Hodge said. “Detectives responded, interviewed family members to determine the facts and circumstances leading to her death, and are continuing the investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident can contact the FWPD tip line at 253-835-6799.
