Registration is underway for the 10th annual Kent Cornucopia Days Fun Run and Walk.

The run is at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 13. The starting line is at Three Friends Fishing Hole Park at 20025 Russell Road. Parking is available at Iron Mountain Storage.

Kent Parks’ program coordinator Mark Hendrickson said the race has become a popular summer tradition for many residents throughout the Puget Sound region.

“The course is U.S. Track and Field certified and is one of the few flat courses in the area,” Hendrickson said. “We’ll have awards for the top five finishers in each age group, with random prizes such as a wake board and gift certificates from many local businesses.”

Hosted by Kent Parks Recreation and Community Services, the race entrance fee is $10 or $25 (with a technical T-shirt) before July 11.  Participants ages 60 and older run for free, courtesy of Tab Wizard, Inc.

Register online at Active.com or pick up registration forms at the Kent Commons, 525 4th Ave N., and many Puget Sound athletic stores.

Avoid the lines on race day; pick up shirts and bibs Wednesday, July 10 between 3-7 p.m. at Road Runner Sports at Kent Station.

Race day registration and packet pick-up is also available near the start/finish line at 7:30 a.m.
