Kent tickets later this autumn

The Seattle Thunderbirds are now selling single-game tickets to the eight games the team will play at KeyArena this season.

Single game tickets can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at 206-628-0888, at any Ticketmaster outlet or by calling the T-Birds at 206-448-PUCK or online at www.ticketmaster.com

The T-Birds 32nd and final home opener at Seattle Center will be Oct. 4 against the defending WHL and Memorial Cup Champions, the Spokane Chiefs, at 7:05 p.m. at KeyArena. The T-Birds will play eight games at KeyArena this season

Single game ticket prices for the 2008-09 season are $22 and $16. The T-Birds will have a $12 kids ticket for kids 12-years-old and under.

The T-Birds will play eight games at KeyArena this season. Single game tickets for these eight games go on sale on Wednesday, September 3. Single game tickets for the teams remaining 28 games will go on sale at a later date this fall.

The T-Birds have three games in late December that could be played at the KeyArena or at the new Kent Events Center.

“The official date scheduled for completion of the Kent Events Center is Friday, Jan. 2. We are pointing towards the last week in December as to when we could open the doors and play hockey at the Kent Events Center,” indicated T-Birds Vice President Colin Campbell. “We booked Dec. 27, 28, and 30 in the KeyArena between Christmas and New Year’s with the idea that games on these days could be relocated to the Kent Events Center if it is completed at that time.”

“The City of Kent, Mortenson Construction and the entire project team have been so impressive throughout this project. Based on how they have maintained the construction timeline we felt it was a good bet to schedule these three games with the potential to move from KeyArena once the completion date becomes certain,” continued Campbell. “A Kent Events Center opener against the Portland Winter Hawks on December 27 would be unbelievable.”

Fans can purchase a 8-game ticket package to all the games in KeyArena for $160. This is a savings of $2 a ticket.

T-Birds season tickets are also currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T- Birds office at 425-869-7825. Purchasing a season ticket will ensure fans can attend both the home opener at the KeyArena on October 4 and the T-Birds first game in their new home, the Kent Events Center.
