Kent hires state lobbyist for $66K per year

The Kent City Council has approved a $66,000 per year contract with Doug Levy to serve as a state lobbyist for the city in 2011.

Levy has received an annual consulting services agreement from the city each year since 2000. The Council approved the contract Dec. 14.

Levy’s services for the city include meeting with Kent legislators prior to each session; identifying key issues; monitor and report legislation of concern during each session; and assist with pursuit of funding for city projects at the state and federal level.
