Kent hockey fans can watch the hometown Seattle Thunderbirds play at the Tri-City Americans at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 on ROOT Sports television.

The Western Hockey League game will mark the first of four T-Birds games on the 10-game Friday Night Hockey broadcast schedule on ROOT Sports. Ian Furness will do the play-by-play with analysis by Kevin Sawyer, a former WHL and NHL player.

Tri-City leads the 10-team Western Conference with a 30-7-0-0 record. Seattle is in seventh at 16-19-0-1. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs.
