The Gracias Christmas Cantata brings a show-stopping musical experience to Kent on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

The award-winning choir performs 7 to 9:15 p.m. at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St. It is free and open to the public.

Presented in association with the International Youth Fellowship (IYF), the Gracias Choir offers cherished music, magical stages and passionate performances.

The Kent stop is one part of the choir’s 25-city tour throughout the country. IYF USA, a Christian global youth initiative and a registered nonprofit organization, is dedicated to the spiritual, intellectual and emotional growth of young people around the world.​ ​IYF represents more than 200,000 students in 80 countries.

The Gracias Choir – the IYF’s official choir – has performed for heads-of-state and presidents and in 40 nations throughout the world. Last year the Gracias Choir was awarded first prize at the International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf, Germany.
