Steel Magic Northwest, a local nonprofit organization providing after-school steel band to Kent School District students from the sixth grade on up, present its Here Comes the Sun spring concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Sunrise Elementary School, 22300 132nd Ave. SE, Kent.

The concert will feature a brief warmup by the school’s choir, and the Steel Sharks sixth-grade ensemble joined by members of the Pan Police elementary ensemble from Edmonds, and the advanced Pan Wizards secondary level ensemble – a group rapidly gaining regional attention – that will be joined by some of its counterparts from Edmonds as well.

The program ranges from classical music to calypso, with many popular favorites, including “Here Comes the Sun.”

Admission is free. Tax-deductible donations are accepted.
