Street closure update in Kent

A couple of more roads were closed in Kent due to the snow early Thursday morning.

Here is the update as of 8:16 a.m. by the city of Kent Public Works Department:

Road closures:

• NEW: S 208th St from 92nd Ave S to 96th Way

• NEW: 93rd Ave S from S 218th St to S 222nd St

• E Smith St from Alvord Ave N to S 244th St

• 42nd Ave from S 262nd Pl to Hampton Way

• S 218th St from 98th Ave S to 88th Ave S

Now open:

• SE 216th St from 100th Ave SE to 108th Ave SE

• S 277th St from Central Ave N to 111th Ave SE

• E James St from Central Ave N to 98th Ave S

As Public Works crews continue to clear major roadways, city officials said please remember to give the plows and vehicles plenty of room, and do not attempt to pass them.
