Childsplay brings “Schoolhouse Rock Live!” – a colorful, musical show – to the stage at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center, 10020 SE 256th St.

The show, part of Kent’s Spotlight Series, is a pop cultural phenomenon, rich in beloved songs updated for a whole new generation.

Academic subjects will never seem boring again when presented through mega-hits like “Conjunction Junction,” “Just a Bill,” “Interplanet Janet” or “Three is a Magic Number.”

Childsplay is a professional company of adult actors who teach and perform for young audiences and families. Based in Tempe, Ariz., the company has performed for more than four million children and adults and has grown to serve an average annual audience of 250,000 children, teachers and families.

This show is recommended for kids and kids at heart, grades 1 and up.
