Christmas dinner for homeless Dec. 17 in Kent; volunteers still needed

More than 200 homeless and low-income family members are expected to attend a downtown Kent Community Christmas Dinner on Saturday, Dec. 17 at Kent Lutheran Church, 336 Second Ave. S.

The free ham dinner starts at 6 p.m. The dinner is being hosted by staff and residents of Kent’s Farrington Court, a One Eighty/Leisure Care retirement community as well as Covington-based Elohim Ministries International.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help serve the dinner or to contribute hams for the dinner can call Farrington Court at 253-852-2737.
