For the Reporter

The Western Washington Winter Cluster of three separate dog shows is Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, Jan. 13-15, at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup.

The cluster is comprised of the Puyallup Valley Dog Fanciers show on Saturday, the Gig Harbor Kennel Club show on Sunday, and the Tacoma Kennel Club show on Monday at the Washington State Fair Events Center, 110 Ninth Ave. SW, Puyallup.

Show times are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with judging starts at 8:30 a.m., each day.

In addition, six different breed clubs will present specialty events on that Friday.

More than 2,200 dogs each day representing more than 160 different breeds as recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) will compete.

Competition events include AKC All Breed Conformation, Obedience trials, Junior Showmanship and Rally. The popular Pee Wee Handler competition returns on Saturday during the noon break. The AKC Sanctioned Four and Under Six Months PUPPY Competition is Sunday. Saturday is Hat Day with a $50 prize awarded for the Best Hat in Show.

Events and details of judging schedules, by breed, are available in the official show catalogue available on site.

Club members on the grounds will be available to help answer questions spectators may have regarding judging times and ring locations.

Admission is free. Parking is available at the fairgrounds for $5.
