Hit-and-run driver kills Kent man

Police seek public’s help in South 272nd Street incident

A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a 49-year-old Kent man early Friday morning in the 4200 block of South 272nd Street.

Officers responded at about 12:20 a.m. to a 911 report of a deceased man on the side of the roadway, according to a Kent Police Facebook post. The man had been walking along the street. Officers observed injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Officers were unable to locate any witnesses to the incident and were only left with the evidence and location. Investigators are asking anyone that was in that area early Friday morning or late Thursday night and may have witnessed this incident or may have any information to call the Kent Police tip line at 253-856-5808.
