DANNY LUNDER

Kentwood

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Sport: Cross Country.

• Accomplishment: Lunder, who is in his first year of cross country, delivered a time of 16:40.5 during last Saturday’s Westside Classic at Tacoma’s American Lake Golf Course, which not only was good enough for 20th place, but also a berth in the state meet.

• Favorite class: French.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (Olympic star) Bernard Lagat to dinner because he’s an amazing 1,500-meter runner. I would serve pizza because I love pizza and it’s a good carb-loading pre-race meal.

• Favorite movie: The Dark Knight.

• Most recent book read/author: “David Copperfield” by Charles Dickens.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Down” by Jay Sean.

• Also noted: Lunder is in honors classes, including AP Biology, and sports a 3.918 grade-point average.

KAILEY ULLAND

Kentwood

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Cross Country.

• Accomplishment: Ulland was the second-highest local female placer during this past Saturday’s Westside Classic cross country meet at American Lake Golf Course, taking eighth overall with a time of 19:10.1. The big finish helped Ulland qualify for the state meet on Nov. 7 in Pasco.

• Favorite class: AP U.S. History.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Joe from Rascal Flatts (not Jonas Brothers), Enrique Iglesias, Brooke Bower and Erika Vossbeck. We would eat pumpkin bread and drink non-fat Smith Brothers’ milk. Brooke can have tuna.

• Favorite movie: Hocus Pocus, The Proposal and all the Harry Potter movies.

• Most recent book read/author: “Oliver Twist” by Charles Dickens.

• What’s on your iPod?: Any a cappella, The Killers and whatever makes me smile.

• Also noted: Ulland also is accomplished in the classroom, where she sports a 3.9 grade-point average. In addition, she is part of the National Honors Society and Eastside FC.

JORDAN ROBERTS

Kent-Meridian

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Cross Country.

• Accomplishment: Roberts served up a personal-best time of 17:23 during this past weekend’s district cross country meet in Tacoma. The time on the 3.1-mile course helped the Royals place sixth as a team, which helped them qualify for the state meet slated for Nov. 7.

• Favorite class: P.E.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite the cross country team and we would have pizza (no marinara).

• Most recent book read/author: “The Hatchet” by Gary Paulsen.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Big Wiggly Style” by The Devil Wears Prada.

• Also noted: Roberts is a multi-sport athlete who also competes in soccer and diving.

SAVANNAH WOOD

Kentlake

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Soccer.

• Accomplishment: With the third-place playoff berth on the line, Wood preserved a 0-0 shutout against Auburn Riverside last week, helping the Falcons remain ahead of the Ravens by a single point in the South Puget Sound League North Division standings.

• Favorite class: AP Government and Math.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (actor) Channing Tatum because he’s a cutie and I would take us to Applebee’s and eat a club house grill.

• What is your greatest athletic moment: Playing the game of my life against Tahoma. Even though I let in two goals, I saved a ton.

• Most recent book read/author: “Blonde Ambition” by Zoey Dean.

• Also noted: Next fall, Wood will attend the University of Oregon, where she hopes to play soccer.

MICHELLE BOSCOLE

Kentridge

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Volleyball.

• Accomplishment: Boscole served up 30 assists, helping the Chargers sweep Emerald Ridge last Saturday (25-22, 25-18, 25-16) during the South Puget Sound League tournament held at Beamer High. The win helped Kentridge earn the tournament’s No. 7 seed to the West Central District tournament slated for Nov. 6-7.

• Favorite class: Percussion.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Actor) Taylor Lautner. We would eat sushi.

• Greatest athletic moment: When we beat Kentwood at the beginning of the season.

• Most recent book read/author: “Eclipse” by Stephanie Meyer.

• What’s on your iPod?: “Always Love” by Nada Surf.

• Also noted: Boscole sports a 3.7 grade-point average and hopes attend the University of Washington next fall.
