Knot Quite Write Players present fall lineup

The Knot Quite Write Players (KQWP), the Kent Senior Activity Center’s Readers Theater troupe, performs a four-comedic-play lineup on successive Mondays, Oct. 22 and 29, on the Social Hall Stage.

It is open to the public.

Tickets are $1 and payable at the door, beginning at 12:30 p.m. the day of each show. Seating is first come, first served, according to ticket numbers, and begins at 1:15 p.m. Show time is 1:30 p.m. on stage, located in the east end of the senior center, 600 E. Smith St.

The fall lineup is “Lunch Ladies at L’ambrosia Luncheria,” written by Pamela Loyd,“Bird Calls,” by Trava Mayes, “The Florist” by Veronica Henzi, and “An Inside Job” by Susan Jarrett.

KQWP is a group of amateur theater enthusiasts that welcomes the opportunity to entertain. Many cast members have little or no theater experience, while others either performed in high school or as a child, on stage or in a choir. Script memorization and physical dexterity are not required. Rehearsals and performances are on Mondays and some Fridays at the center.

The show receives a big boost from sponsors. The Chateau at Valley Center and the Kent Lions Club make a substantial contribution toward the purchase of wireless sound-enhancing equipment for the audience, including special options for those who are hearing impaired.
